'Everybody thought somebody would do it'

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.

Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realised

that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what

Anybody could have done.

Dear Friends

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at some of the ministry areas that you can be involved in here at St Mary Bredin.

In line with our Vision we are committed to strengthen our commitment to:-

• Mission
• Children and Youth Work
• Discipleship
• Pastoral Care
• Good use of the building

The getting involved leaflet is designed to help you flourish in your Christian life as you express practically what it means to belong to a family church where involvement benefits others. In this way each one of us enjoys relationship with other people and grows in the gifts God has given us.

I would encourage you to consider the broad areas you are attracted to. We know that there are many ministries that we could be involved in that are not written down here. We are committed to following God's leading for us as a community and that will mean inevitably that we cannot do everything. If you have a burning desire to see a new ministry develop in the church, why not get involved in one of these as you pray to see where God is leading us next?

If you have looked at the leaflet and would like to get involved in any way please click here and fill in the form - we will pass it on to the co-ordinator of the group who will contact you to confirm that they have received your form, and to discuss your possible involvement in that area of service.

It is our hope that you will enjoy God's blessing very much as you get involved in the life of the church.
