Our Vision

‘Proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ through word and action’

We believe that as people who have received the good news of Jesus Christ we must pass it on to others. The good news, that because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross we can be forgiven, we can be redeemed, we can be healed and we are now free to enter the relationship for which we were created, is the greatest news that anyone can receive.

As God’s people we want to proclaim this message of hope in all that we do; so we are committed to gather together and worship Christ, declaring the praises of him who brought us out of darkness. We are committed to meeting together, to love, serve and support each other so that all might know that we are Christ’s disciples. We are committed to reaching out to the people in the community around us, to love them, serve them and share with them the good news of Jesus Christ, not only declaring the good news to them but being good news for them, so that they too might come into the life giving relationship that is ours in Christ.

Jesus Christ calls all his followers to proclaim this good news and so we at SMB hope to be faithful in following this call knowing that as we are active in sharing our faith we will have a fuller understanding of everything we have in Christ.
