Healing on the Streets latest Newsletter!!
The Healing on the Streets team is made up of passionate prayer warriors from six churches, SMB, City church, New Life Pentecostal church, Vineyard, Canterbury Baptist church and URC. The unity we have developed is a miracle in itself and it has made inter church activity much easier to accomplish!
We meet on Best Lane every Saturday morning (11.30-1.30 in winter), whatever the weather and are taking church to the 98% of the population that will not come to us.
This is a gentle ministry and we want to show God’s love to the people who are shopping each Saturday.
In 41 weeks 676 team members have stood on Best Lane and presented a wonderful example of church to people who are often disillusioned with their experiences of religion or just plainly haven’t considered it.
We have prayed for over 640 people in that time and know that at least 12 people are attending church through the contact they have made with us and have seen many miracles and answers to pray.
God has blessed us in so many ways, starting with dry weather every week (but it has been cold!)
We have received encouraging feedback from passers by including ‘Those are the healing people’ and ‘well done fo r what you are doing’.
The expectation of team members has increased and we will pray for someone whenever we see the need! We have seen Healing on the High street, cures in the City church and Canterbury Christchurch but also transformation in Tesco!
